Remedy Product Studio is excited to announce our investment in our new portfolio company, Manatee.
With this investment, Remedy supports Manatee’s mission of providing high-quality, whole-person pediatric mental health care for children and parents to help families thrive.
Remedy’s investment is part of Manatee’s seed extension round with additional participation from GreyMatter, BCBS Kansas, Hopelab and Luminary Fund.
Why We Like It
Our connected world is more disconnected than it's ever been, particularly among children and

families. With the increase of new stressors on young people, including the polarized political climate, the unrealistic beauty and lifestyle standards imposed by social media, and the negative effect that our devices have on our relationships to others, there is a growing mental health crisis among children.
According to the CDC, in 2021 more than four in ten students felt persistently sad or hopeless, and nearly one-third experienced poor mental health. More than one in five students seriously considered attempting suicide, and one in ten attempted suicide.
The biggest driver to child and teen wellbeing is parent well being, and today's parents are more overwhelmed than ever. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 48% of parents say most of their days are completely overwhelming.
Manatee addresses this growing crisis by fostering family connection through its comprehensive and family-centered approach to mental health care. Instead of treating kids in isolation, Manatee’s solutions are family-centered, personalized, preventive-focused, educational, and culturally sensitive.
Their product and services include:
A family app where parents and kids collaborate, join courses and complete self-care activities.
Care consultations with care coordinators to help families navigate treatment and ongoing support.
Evidence-based parent services that are integrated into care and focus on developmental milestones and parenting confidence.
A clinical family care plan including weekly therapy sessions and interventions.
Through our investment, Remedy will collaborate with the Manatee team to improve their process for onboarding new families. We will also automate elements of their care platform to help care coordinators work more effectively and efficiently.
“At Manatee, we’re not just addressing a mental health crisis – we’re building a future where families thrive together,” says Damayanti Dipayana, Manatee’s Co-Founder and CEO. “By treating mental health as a family unit, we empower parents and children to grow stronger, closer, and more resilient. With Remedy’s support, we’re able to amplify our impact, delivering personalized care that meets families where they are. Together, we’re creating a world where every family has the tools to flourish, no matter the challenges they face."
The investment in Manatee aligns with Remedy’s thesis of investing in technology businesses that enhance personal wellbeing and improve care delivery.
“Pediatric mental health has always been a passion point for me,” says Remedy’s Director of Investments and Incubations, Jess Schram. “I’m excited for our team to build the technical integrations that improve Manatee’s data capture, storage, and reporting that help families implement strategies for more effective change.”
