Remedy Team and Culture

While Remedy stands up fully dedicated people as an extension of your team, we also make sure that we’re heavily investing in the culture of Remedy as a whole. This means that we invest in our people as individuals and as a team. While we seek to hire the best possible talent, we also understand that great developers, designers, and product managers are grown over time. This investment in growth and attention to a world-class culture is how we ensure we continue to deliver world-class results.

Product Manager Development

Every 2 weeks our Product Managers participate in structured PM meetings to aid in their development. Sessions are broken down into hard skill education, soft skill training, and peer-led discussions about partner-specific product questions. Topics range from consultative question asking and better ways to understand a partner’s true needs to how to best run a product-market-fit survey or conduct valuable user interviews.

Hackathon

We host internal, cross-functional hackathons the last Friday of every month. The hackathons are based on the premise of learning a new skill or practice and applying it to a real-world scenario. One of our senior team members or architects teaches a specific skill or presents a problem statement. The company is then broken into cross-functional teams (product, design, engineering, QA) and tasked with applying the lesson to a product.

Continuing Education

Just like we believe in user feedback as an essential component of guiding product development, we use team feedback as a way to improve the quality of our team members. We gather candid feedback on each team member from external and internal stakeholders to inform personal development plans. Each Remedy team member goes through an annual review and goal setting process. The goals are designed to be tangible and actionable, including specific training, courses, and certifications paid for by Remedy that are meant to help team members level up their skills and apply their knowledge to their work.
